Which brand of headphones should I invest in?
I’ve ruled out skullcandy because they are about style and not quality and Bose is too expensive.
I’ve thought about sennheiser and sony, but I have no idea which is a better investment. And I know there are bunch of other brands I haven’t even looked at yet such as Koss.
Any suggestions or tips? Keep in mind I want headphones, not earphones. A lot of companies only focus on the earbuds.

KOSS ksc75 … SQ very good… fast acting.. ample bass
JVC Marshmallows
Sennheiser MX500 – cheap earbuds but surprising sound quality for the price.
Creative EP630 – excellent first foray into IEMs.
$30-$60
Sennheiser PX-100 – good bass response with clear mids and highs, very common
Koss PortaPro- almost same SQ as the PX100, benefits a lot from the kramer mod
Sennheiser CX300 – balanced sound with nice bass for a nice price.
Philips SHP5400 – clear mids and tight bass considering the price and easily found
